Baptism
What is Baptism?
Baptism is an outward confession of your faith, your commitment to God, and obedience to Christ. It does not save us, rather it is a response to salvation. Baptism is symbolic of the of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ which, by faith and grace, saves us. (Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:3-5, Matthew 3:13-17)
When Can I get Baptized?
Baptism happens every first and third Sunday during service. Everyone who is baptized first has to complete the Salvation and Baptism session. This ensures each person fully understands salvation, baptism, and the covenant commitment to relationship with Christ and a life of discipleship. You can complete the "Kingdom Decision" form and our team will connect with you!
How do I get Baptized?
You can complete the "Kingdom Decision" form and our team will connect with you! We will guide you through the "Salvation and Baptism" session which is a part of our New Members Classes.
It can also be done separately if you would like to be baptized but not become a member of Word Tabernacle Church. Anyone who is baptized but not joining Word Tabernacle will have help connecting to a discipleship community in a church that fits their needs before baptism occurs. (Acts 8:36-38)
Information for parents of children getting baptized
Is your child ready for life with Christ? Everyone in the next generation completes a class about salvation and baptism during our new member process. Children do this during Children's church on Sunday mornings. Preteens and youth (4th Grade- 13th Grade) do this on third Saturdays.
Jesus said to let the children come to Him and we are obedient to His instruction! Our goal is to ensure each child and student understand their decisions. You will get support to guide your family through the process after we get your information through the "Kingdom Decisions" form. (Matthew 19:14)
